2016 Utah State Aggies Predictions: Team Strengths
After what seemed like over a decade as Utah State’s quarterback, Chuckie Keeton is gone. But, the transition should be fairly seamless as junior Kent Myers has had plenty of playing experience filling in for the often injured Keeton.
Myers is a talented passer and he can move a little bit with his legs as he showed off against Colorado State last year as he ran for 191 yards and a touchdown.

Myers was efficient last year throwing for 15 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions.
Senior halfback Devante Mays ran for almost six yards a pop while scoring nine touchdowns.
Junior halfback LaJuan Hunt will look to play a bigger role in this offense and look for senior tight end Wyatt Houston to be a safety blanket for Myers all season long.
2016 Utah State Aggies Predictions: Team Weaknesses
For years, the strength of this Utah State team has been their defense. Things are changing this year as this is their weak point.
The Aggies have produced a number of NFL quality players including Bobby Wagner, Will Davis, Nevin Lawson, Nick and Zach Vigil.

It’s been tough to continue to reload like that and the Aggies just don’t have the talent, on paper, this year. It should be a bit of a struggle, but they are a well coached bunch.
In the secondary, Jalen Davis and Daniel Gray will look to lead this defense. In the trenches, Travis Seefeldt and Ricky Ali’ifua will be the players to watch.
2016 Utah State Aggies Predictions: 7-6
Utah State should be a bowl eligible team. They are losing a lot of talent on the defensive side, but they are still a well coached team with talent on offense.
Utah State should open up conference play 2-1. It isn’t an easy way to open up the conference season, but they do at least get the Air Force Falcons at home before going up to Idaho to face the Boise State Broncos.
Colorado State is a coin flip game, but unfortunately for Utah State, it’s on the road just after what should be a tough game against Boise State.

They get a week off before they take on the part of the schedule where they can notch some wins. Fresno State, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Nevada are all winnable games.
Overall, this Utah State team should win no less than seven games this year.
Eight wins is possible and nine as well if Utah State wins their bowl game.
