A week after Cincinnati had a chance to move itself into higher regard across the college football nation, South Florida had a similar opportunity.

Both teams failed as Cincinnati fell to Houston late and South Florida got crushed by Florida State. Both programs had the nationally ranked teams on their own turf and couldn’t capitalize.
Now, it is back to competing in the AAC for a shot in the conference championship game. Both teams are in that conversation.
USF Bulls
Quarterback Quinton Flowers is leading the way for a Bulls team that appears to be making quick of a rebuilding effort after winning 6 total games in 2013 and 2014.
Flowers is the Bulls’ leading passer and rusher and has accounted for 10 touchdowns in 4 games.
The rushing attack is very strong overall though – with 4 other players over 100 yards rushing this season and a team total of 14 rushing touchdowns.

The defense had no answer for Dalvin Cook last week as he ran for 267 yards against them.
It was a tough draw for South Florida though as they got Florida State fresh off the thrashing they took from Louisville which very well could have ended the Seminoles’ hopes for Playoff bid.
But, the Bulls have to forget and move on because they still have plenty of chances to gain recognition.
The AAC is gaining respect with the success of Houston, Temple, and Navy last season. So, the Bulls can make some noise if they perform will in the conference.
It is unclear who the Bulls will be facing at quarterback for the Bearcats but either way they need to be prepared for the strong Cincinnati passing attack.
If it is the freshman Ross Trail, the Bulls will look to pressure him and force him into the turnovers that a young quarterback is prone to.
If it is Hayden Moore coming of an injury, the Bulls will face a better passer but one prone to turnovers as well – sporting a career 16:14 touchdown to interception ratio.
Cincinnati Bearcats
The hope for the Bearcats is that Moore will be able to go after injuring his ankle near the end of the Week 3 loss to Houston.
Moore was off a hot start to begin the season before throwing two late interceptions to end Cincinnati’s shot at an upset over Houston.
Whether it is Moore or Trail, the Bearcats will need to run effectively to take the pressure off their quarterback.

The Bulls defense has struggled against the run and was torn up last week by Heisman hopeful Cook.
The Bearcat defense will have to deal with a very strong South Florida offense that has surprised many with their hot start.
The Bulls are averaging 46 points per game and even managed 35 last week against Florida State’s supposedly good defense.
It doesn’t seem like Flowers can be stopped but the Bearcats will need to slow him.
Getting into a shootout with South Florida using either their young quarterback Trail or recovering Moore will be dangerous.
However, it could be inevitable.

Free Week 5 NCAA Football Prediction
The Bulls thrashed the Bearcats last season 65-27 and did so by forcing 4 interceptions and rushing for 355 yards. I expect a similar formula this week as South Florida continues their explosion toward national success.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: South Florida -6.0
I think the Bearcats will try to slow the game down a bit to avoid the shootout and the Bulls will use their run game to run away with the victory. I like the Bulls to win pretty easily but the score to stay lower than the total.
BONUS Pick: Under 59.5
Week 5 Free Score Prediction: South Florida 33 – Cincinnati 20
