Texas Tech will take their high powered offense into Manhattan this Saturday to take on the Kansas State Wildcats.
So far this season, the Red Raiders have scored 55 in two games for their lowest score in 2016. They have also put up totals of 59 and 69 in route to a 3-1 record.

The Kansas State Wildcats are coming off of a tough lost last weekend.
After being up by 13 in the fourth quarter, the Wildcats allowed the West Virginia Mountaineers to rally from behind for the win 17-16.
After being up 16-3, the Wildcat defense allowed West Virginia to score two touchdowns and with 6 minutes left in the game, were never able to reclaim the lead.
The Wildcats will try to keep their record above .500 this week by improving to 3-2.
Kansas State Wildcats
After suffering an early loss this season against Stanford, the Kansas State Wildcats were making it look like they were going to win three in a row last week against West Virginia. Until the fourth quarter anyway.
After dominating the Mountaineers all game, the Kansas State defense cracked and allowed two touchdowns which allowed West Virginia to come from behind for the win.

The offense wasn’t much help for the defensive unit last week for Kansas State. Quarterback Jesse Ertz was only able to complete 10 of 30 passing attempts for a total of 166 yards.
The running game wasn’t much stronger behind the 120 yards on 42 carries. The defense has been strong this season, but they haven’t played a team as explosive as Texas Tech with the ball.
The offense will need to be much more productive this week in order for the defense to have a chance to keep things close.
If Texas Tech is able to get in front big early, it will be lights out in Manhattan.
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Red Raider offense has been putting up video game like numbers all season long.
During his first four games, Mahomes has thrown for a total of 1,770 yards with 18 touchdowns while only throwing three interceptions. He will need to show that he is ready to go after leaving the game against Kansas due to a shoulder injury.
Mahomes should be on pace for an amazing season this year, but due to where he plays it is doubtful he will receive much love as a Heisman candidate.

Wide receiver Jonathon Giles has been the favorite target for Mahomes this season.
Throughout their first four games, the two have been able to hook up for a total of 565 yards on 31 receptions and have found the endzone on 7 of them.
These would be great numbers for a season, let alone through only four games.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders should have no problem putting up a basketball game score again this week in Manhattan,
NCAA Football Handicapping Trends

- The Wildcats are 1-4 in their last 5 games following a win against the spread.
- Kansas State is 0-6 against the spread after giving up more than 275 passing yards in their previous game.
Free Week 6 NCAA Football Prediction
The defense of Kansas State has been good, but are they good enough to keep an offense like the Red Raiders will bring to the field in check?
As of today it is still unclear whether or not Mahomes will play which could have a major impact on the outcome of the game.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Texas Tech +7
Even if the Red Raiders are forced to go with a backup at quarterback and the Kansas State defense is able to slow Texas Tech down, the Wildcats lack enough on offense to take control in this one. I like Texas Tech plus seven under 72.5.
