Tennessee earned themselves a bye week after knocking off Georgia 38-31 2 weeks ago.
Kick off is set for 3:30 PM on CBS.
Tennessee
The Volunteers had typically found different ways to lose. Whether it be a late turnover inside the opponents’ territory, a late opposition touchdown, or a missed field, this team just couldn’t finish a game.
Well that all changed two weeks ago as they finally found a way to finish against Georgia. After going down 24-3, the Volunteers fought their way back and continued to hold the lead for a majority of the 2nd half. The Volunteers got one final stop in the final seconds as they went on to grab a huge SEC win.

QB Joshau Dobbs will look to build off his best game of the season. Dobbs threw for 312 yards and ran for 118 more. He accounted for 5 Volunteers’ touchdowns on the day. Dobbs became the only player in Tennessee history to throw for 300 yards and rush for 100.
Tennessee will need to be careful this week against the Alabama run game. Overall, Tennessee is a mess defensively. They are allowing 419.0 yards per game which ranks 87th in the nation.
Alabama
The Crimson Tide lone slip up against Ole Miss had them on the outside looking in with regards to the BCS Playoff. It would take a lot of work for Alabama to get back into the race, but they wasted no time.
Alabama not only routed Georgia, but they can also add Texas A&M to their list as they went on the road and had no problem taking them out.
The Crimson Tide finished off a 41-23 win with Derrick Henry rushing for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Henry has been the main reasoning for the Crimson Tide’s success thus far. The big tailback has rushed for 901 yards and tallied 12 touchdowns to his credit.
He should have a similar or close to repeat performance this week against the Tennessee front 7. The Volunteers are allowing 170.5 rush yards which ranks 72nd in the FBS.
Alabama is 8-0 in their last 8 games against Tennessee.

Free Week 8 NCAA Football Prediction
Alabama has looked like a team on a mission lately. Their wins over Georgia and Texas A&M may not have erased their Ole Miss loss yet, but it’s certainly a giant step in the right direction. They should have no problem with the Volunteers here.
