The AAC pins one of the best defenses in the conference against one of the best offenses in the conference.
Temple travels to Houston to take on the Cougars Saturday afternoon with the title on the line.

Houston defeated Navy last week in Houston to clinch their spot in the title game while Temple needed wins over Memphis and Uconn in their final two games to fight off USF.
Temple
The Owls offer one of the most balanced offenses in the conference as PJ Walker and Jahad Thomas both lead a solid offensive threat for Temple.
PJ Walker has thrown for 2450 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season. Walker threw for 261 yards against Memphis and 160 against Uconn to solidify the Owls spot in the title game.

RB Jahad Thomas really took the pressure off Walker at times as he rushed for 1181 yards to go along with 17 touchdowns. Thomas was a dangerous threat in the red zone and gave Temple plenty of options to work out of the play action as well.
The duo led Temple to 32.3 points per game.
As for the defense, the Owls ranked 16th nationally with 18.8 points against.
Houston
Houston had their chance at an undefeated season, but QB Greg Ward Jr. went down against Memphis and missed out on the following week in Uconn.
The Cougars offense clearly missed Ward Jr. and fell to Uconn which ruined their bid at a 13-0 season. Still, Ward Jr. returned in style last week against Navy to send the Cougars into the AAC Championship.

On the season, Ward Jr. has thrown for 2502 yards to go along with 16 touchdowns. He also offers a solid alternative in terms of his running game. He rushed for 893 yards and 17 more touchdowns on the ground.
Along with him, RB Kenneth Farrow also was a dominant threat in the backfield. Farrow rushed for 949 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season.
Ward Jr.’s main target all season long was Demarcus Ayers. The star WR has 89 catches for 1140 yards and 6 touchdowns.
