TCU had a chance to showcase to the nation what they missed out on in last years BCS Playoff. To say that didn’t go to plan would be a fair statement.
TCU will try to avenge their Week 1 struggles as they welcome in Stephen F. Austin Saturday afternoon.

TCU struggled all game long, but survived a scare from Minnesota 23-17.
Stephen F. Austin comes in with zero momentum to their name as they dropped their season opener to Northern Arizona 34-28.

The Lumberjacks had a lot of positives offensively to take away from their Week 1 loss.
QB Zach Conque had 297 passing yards and 68 rushing yards to his name. Conque threw for a touchdown and ran for two more as he accounted for 75% of the team’s touchdowns.
[dfads params=’groups=226&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Conque found some solid chemistry with his duo of receivers out wide in Sylvester and Aaron Thomas. Both Sylvester and Thomas had 70+ yards of receiving last week and will likely be the go to targets throughout the entire season for Zach Conque.
The defense was the major downfall for the Lumberjacks as they allowed Northern Arizona to rack up 547 yards of total offense.
NAU averaged over 15 yards per pass completion, which is a sure recipe for disaster.

QB Trevone Boykin was a top Heisman front runner heading into the start of the 2015 season. While one struggle of a game won’t result in him losing the trophy, he certainly has some catching up to do following a very sluggish performance.
Boykin 246 pass yards to go along with 92 rush yards, which isn’t all that bad. However, TCU’s explosive QB nearly doubled those stats per game last year and threw a costly interception in the contest.

WR Josh Docton remains Boykin’s main target here in 2015 as he went for 74 yards receiving and a touchdown in the win. Docton racked up over 1000 yards of receiving in 2015 and 11 touchdowns in 2014 and is expected to have a repeat performance similar to 2014.
RB Aaron Green, who sometimes gets lost within all the firepower talk, had a solid opening game going for 88 yards on 19 carriers.

Stephen F. Austin is just simply no match for TCU in this game. The Horned Frogs are a much faster, more physical team that should get a bit of their swagger back following their struggle in Week 1.
