Two teams with completely different styles of offense meet in Berkeley, California as the San Diego State Aztecs get set to take on the California Golden Bears Saturday afternoon.
San Diego State brings in a predominate run first offense and likes to keep control of the clock with their offense on the field as much as possible.

The Golden Bears are just the opposite. A hurry up time that slings it all over the field, looks to strike quick and often.
Kickoff is set for under the lights at 4:00 PM EST in California.
San Diego State
The visitors from San Diego State is solely centered around one guy. RB Donnel Pumphrey is the go to guy and should see plenty of carries against California on Saturday.
In Week 1, Pumphrey was bottled up a bit as he rushed for only 65 yards on 20 carries, which was one of his poorest performances in quite some time.
In 2014, he rushed for 1867 yards and 20 touchdowns, so he certainly has the ability to breakout and go for big numbers.

With the way Pumphrey struggled, a lot of pressure was put on Senior QB Maxwell Smith, who didn’t perform that well under pressure, but did enough to get the win.
Smith threw for 100 yards and an interception on just 9 of 20 throwing.
The defense was the real playmakers in their Week 1 win as they forced San Diego into some tight windows and turnovers. Junior Damontae Kazee had 3 interceptions in the Week 1 win.
California
The Golden Bears make it no secret they are the complete opposite of the Aztecs. California rarely even has their running back in the backfield on most downs.
QB Jared Goff had a stellar first half in his season debut as he threw for 309 yards and 3 touchdowns. Goff didn’t see much time in the 2nd half, but with his first half performance, he certainly solidified his case to be a Heisman contender.

Goff’s main target out wide was receiver Kenny Lawler. The stellar WR had 3 touchdowns in the Golden Bears’ Week 1 game and continues to build solid chemistry with Goff.
When they need a RB, they atleast have one that knows his role and can be a playmaker. Daniel Lasco rushed for a TD in the season opener, which marks the 8th time in 9 games he rushed for at least one.

Free Week 2 NCAA Football Prediction
San Diego State is picked to win the MWC, so they are clearly no pushover here. The key for them will be keeping the ball out of the Golden Bear’s offensive hands. If they can do that with getting their running game going early, they should be able to grab a lot momentum. If not, things could get ugly quick.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: San Diego State ATS
The Aztecs will have their chance to win outright here, but will need to take advantage of every given mistake the Golden Bears make.
