The Purdue Boilermakers will go on the road this Saturday to Lincoln Nebraska to take on Big Ten West Rival Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The Boilermakers have went back and forth all season long between wins and losses and will have one of the toughest games on their schedule this Saturday.
They were able to put some points on the board last week, but still came up short in a 49-35 to the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Nebraska was pushed to the limit, but found a way to hold on for a 27-22 win against the Indiana Hoosiers.
This will be just the fifth time that these two schools have squared off with one another and they have both been able to come away with two wins.
Purdue lit up the score board against the Huskers last season with a 55-45 win in West Lafayette.
Purdue Boilermakers
The Boilermakers will be starting fresh this week after firing head coach Darrell Hazell following last Saturday’s loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Purdue had only managed to win 9 out 42 games under Hazell and made the decision that it was time for a new look.
The Boilermakers went into the locker room trailing 35-7 at the half and gave it everything they had to come, back, but the defense wasn’t able to keep Iowa out of the end zone.

The Boilermakers were able to gain a total of 504 yards in the game and had 24 first downs, but they also had the game’s only turnover which was an interception returned for a touchdown with less than two minutes in the game that sealed the deal for Iowa.
Purdue has been averaging over 305 passing yards a game, but are 106th in the country with 136.2 yards.
They have been able to score an average of 27.5 points a week, but the defense is giving up 34.8 to their opponents.
Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Cornhuskers were able to jump out early against Indiana, but it took everything they had to hold off a late come back attempt by the Indiana Hoosiers.
They were able to get in front by 17 in the first quarter before allowing Indiana to pull within two points on two separate occasions.
Nebraska was able to gain a total of 360 yards on offense while the defense allowed Indiana to gain 333 of their own.
Nebraska was able to put together a drive that chewed away 7:41 late in the game that ended with a field goal to give the Huskers the five point advantage.

Nebraska has been able to average 233.3 yards a week through the air and 220.5 yards on the ground.
They average 35.3 points a contest and are only giving up an average of 18.3.
Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. has been solid, completing 86 of 141 passes for a total of 1,359 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only 4 interceptions.
He has also scrambled for 329 yards on the ground with five rushing touchdowns.

Free Week 8 NCAA Football Prediction
Purdue hasn’t had a problem moving the ball through the air at all this season.
They continue to come up short due to the fact that they are unable to stop anyone else when they have the ball.
Purdue is not only dealing with the issues that come with a new coach in the middle of the season, they also haven’t been able to have much success on the road.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Purdue Boilermakers +24
Nebraska is ranked 8th in the nation and will have no problem winning this game. They should be poised to win the Big Ten West later this season in November.
I like this game going over 61.5, but I think Purdue will do enough with the ball through the air to cover the spread.
