The Pittsburgh Panthers and the Navy Midshipmen square off in Annapolis, Maryland for the 2015 Military Bowl.

Both teams had favorable seasons, though Navy finished much stronger than its Pittsburgh opponent.
Pittsburgh
The Pitt Panthers had an up and down season this year, though it got off to a crippling start when they lost star running back James Conner after the first week of the season.
Even without Conner, the Panthers still finished second in the ACC Coastal and earned a spot in the Military Bowl.
Pitt didn’t do anything spectacular this season, and the Panthers didn’t have any marquee wins. To their benefit, the Panthers had a really tough schedule, and suffered close losses at Iowa, and at home against North Carolina and Notre Dame.

Quarterback Nathan Peterman led the way with 2,150 passing yards to go along with 19 touchdowns and five interceptions on the year. Qadree Ollison, filling in for Conner, finished with 1,048 yards, 10 touchdowns, and a yards per carry average of 5.1.
Pitt will be without offensive coordinator Jim Chaney in this game, as ESPN reported that Chaney left Pitt to take over the offensive coordinating duties at the University of Georgia.
The Panthers were 6-1 heading into the latter portion of their schedule, but they lost three of their last five games, including their home finale to the University of Miami.
Navy
At 10-2 and a No. 21 ranking, the Navy Midshipmen finished with one of their finest season’s in school history.
Led by quarterback Keenan Reynolds, Navy’s 319 rushing yards per game were third-best in the country, and its 36.2 points per game cracked the top-25. Any and all offense with Navy revolves around Reynolds, who rushed for more than 1,200 yards and had 21 touchdowns this season.

Running back Chris Swain was also a nice complement for the Navy offense, as he finished with 909 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, including his three-touchdown performance against Memphis.
The Midshipmen’s 45-20 win over No. 13 Memphis was their strongest win of the season, though they fell extremely flat against both Notre Dame and Houston.
Still, a 10-2 record was an impressive one for Navy, and the play of Reynolds throughout the season kept the Midshipmen in the national spotlight and a well-deserved No. 21 ranking.

Free Military Bowl NCAA Football Prediction
Pittsburgh started out strong but faded down the stretch. Now the Panthers will be without their offensive coordinator, and you would think that would make this matchup even tougher for them.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Navy ATS
Keenan Reynolds is one of the most exciting players in the country, and this is essentially a home game for Navy. The Midshipmen went 5-2 ATS at home this year, and with Pitt stumbling down the stretch, I like Navy to leave with the win.
