Pittsburgh has opened up a QB controversy as they get set to head into Iowa City to take on the 2-0 Hawkeyes.
The Panthers come in off a 24-7 victory over the Akron Zips, but it came at a price as the Panthers made a QB switch in the game.

Iowa had an impressive win over rival Iowa State 31-17 with some shut down defense.
Kick off is set under the lights at 8:00 PM.
Pitt
Pittsburgh hasn’t had to deal with a QB controversy for quite some years.
Head coach Pat Narduzzi replaced starter Chad Voytik with Nate Peterman in the team’s win 24-7 over Akron on Saturday. With that, Narduzzi hasn’t even gave a hint to who is going to start on Saturday.
That could mean 1 of 2 things. 1. Narduzzi has no idea who should be the starter. 2. He’s forcing Iowa to prep for both.

Peterman went 12 of 17 for 148 yards and a touchdown after coming in during the 2nd quarter. With the QB situation still to play out, the Panthers can at least rely on their running back game.
RB James Connor was announced out for the year, but that hasn’t stopped Pitt from having a dominant running game. RB Qadree Ollison has averaged 7.8 yards per carry and has racked up 288 yards.
WR Tyler Boyd will also look to be an impact player, as was in 2014. Last year, Boyd had 10 receptions for 153 yards.
Iowa
The Hawkeyes have looked impressive as they’ve started the 2015 season on a 2-0 note.
QB CJ Beathard has been the difference maker thus far as he’s shined through the first two games. Beathard threw a career high 3 touchdowns to go along with 292 yards in the Hawkeyes win over the Cyclones last week.

On the season, the QB has completed over 61 percent of his passes and tossed 426 yards along with 4 touchdowns. The main key for him has been his 0 interceptions.
The run game has been just as effective for Iowa as the pass game has been. LeShun Daniels Jr. has 179 yards on the season and Jordan Canzeri has 152 yards. The duo has averaged nearly 6 yards per carry through the first two games.
Also adding to the run game, QB CJ Beathard has 103 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground.

Free Week 3 NCAA Football Prediction
This is a giant game in terms of having a marquee non conference win. Both teams are 2-0 and have an outside shot at making a push at a BCS game. While that is a long ways away, a crucial win over a power conference team is a must.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Iowa ATS
The Hawkeyes looked good in their win over Iowa State. With the Pittsburgh QB situation still up in the air, Iowa should be able to use the fuel from the home crowd.
