The Oregon Ducks enter this contest reeling from a double-overtime loss at home to the Washington State Cougars, 45-38.
The Washington Huskies enter this contest coming off a big-time win over then-ranked USC, 17-21.

Oregon has dominated this series in recent memory, having taken down the Huskies in 11 straight contests (by at least 17 points in each showing).
That said, it’s the Huskies who enter this one as slight favorites over the struggling Ducks.
Oregon
This is not the Oregon Ducks squad we’re used to seeing since Chip Kelly took over in 2009.
The team has had no answer for the question of whether or not they can succeed in a post-Marcus Mariota era (other than a resounding no), and there’s virtually no reason to believe they’re going to win this game by at least 17 points (as they’ve done in the last 11 contests versus UW).

If Oregon is going to stand a chance in this rival game in a hostile road venue, it’s going to need one of two things to happen. First, and most likely to actually take place, it’s going to need Royce Freeman to put this team on his shoulders.
So far this year, the 5’11”, 230-pound tailback has 859 yards (7.0 YPC) and nine touchdowns to go along with 179 yards and two scores receiving.
The other option is that the passing game shows up and proves to be competent.
This group has found virtually no production from behind center this year, which (along with the terrible showing from the secondary) is why this group is struggling.
Washington
Despite the one-sided results that this rivalry has seen the last 11 years, don’t think this group of Huskies (and more specifically its fans that will be flooding into Husky Stadium on Saturday) isn’t excited about the prospect of finally taking down the Ducks in 2015.

This game is going to come down to how efficient the Huskies’ defense can be. This Washington squad currently leads all of college football in scoring defense and total defense.
What’s really going to make a difference, however, is that this group leads the Pac-12 in rushing difference.
Oregon has become one-dimensional in its offensive approach, giving the Huskies an easy out when it comes to game planning and executing.

Free Week 7 NCAA Football Prediction
At this point in the process, the Oregon Ducks have given us no reason to trust them, which gives us zero reason to believe they can keep the streak of 17-point wins alive, let alone win this one at all.
