This is a huge game between highly ranked teams in the SEC West. The winner can claim to be the early leader and SEC favourite, especially if it is Ole Miss.
The Rebels broke a long drought in beating Alabama last year and you can bet Nick Saban is not looking to make that a trend.

This might not be in the 8:00 time slot but this can easily be called the game of the week.
Ole Miss
The competition has not been great but the Rebels have scored 149 points in their first two games. It looks like they might have an offense to pair with one of the best defenses in the nation.
It has taken a while but it looks like QB Chad Kelly has found a home. He was highly touted but didn’t stick at Clemson. He has landed in a good situation down in Oxford and so far is making the most of it. This will be his biggest game though so the jury is still out.
Ole Miss can pull another upset of Bama because they can be that good defensively. They might not have shown it over their first couple of games but they were so out of hand it is hard to blame them.
They can really put pressure on the quarterback and that is a position that is in flux for the Crimson Tide this season.

Ole miss is an intriguing underdog this season. I think that can apply to all situations including this one.
Alabama
The Crimson Tide are 2-0 but it is still early in gauging just how good this Bama team will be. Beating Wisconsin relatively easily was impressive but they probably should have crushed Middle Tennessee a little more thoroughly.
Though questions are still out on the QB position hulking back Derrick Henry is off to an awesome start. Against the Badgers he averaged 11ypc and he already has six touchdowns. Slowing him down will be key for Ole Miss.
As expected the defense has been very stout so far. They are giving up next to nothing on the ground and putting the opposition into situations where they have to really make plays. That is tough to do against Alabama which is strong at every level.

So far Jacob Coker has not lost any games but he hasn’t been the difference either. They may need him to be one on Saturday night.
Alabama at home is a tough out but I think this one is going to go down to the end.
