A very young Oklahoma State team stumbled out of the gate, losing their 2014 opening game to Florida State.
With a year under their belts, the Cowboys will look to begin their 2015 campaign with a win, when they visit Central Michigan on Thursday, Sept. 3.

OSU
The Cowboys went on to win five straight after their loss to the Seminoles, but finished out the season losing five of their last six. They did however, make their 10th straight season bowl appearance which resulted on a 30-22 win over Washington in the Cactus Bowl..
It was a rough 2014 season in the Big 12 for OSU, but this year is going to begin differently, as Mason Rudolph, who took over under center late last season and guided the Cowboys to big wins at Oklahoma and against the Huskies, is OSU’s first clear cut starter at quarterback since 2011

Also returning will be sophomore receiver James Washington, who led the team with six receiving touchdowns on 28 catches last season, along with three preseason all-conference selections leading the defense, including defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah, linebacker Ryan Simmons and cornerback Kevin Peterson.
The Cowboys rushing attack could be a question, after the graduation of leading rusher Desmond Roland and dismissal of second-leading rusher Tyreek Hill.
JUCO transfer running back Chris Carson is expected to carry the rushing attack but he will be tested.
Central Michigan
The Chippewas capped an exciting 2014 season with a 48-49 loss to Western Kentucky in the Bahamas Bowl. Narrowly missing out on the win after scoring 34 fourth-quarter points and a failed two-point conversion in the final seconds.
This year Central Michigan will have likely face some challenges, as it plays its first season under the direction of new head coach John Bonamego, who replaces Dan Enos after he left to become the offensive coordinator at Arkansas

Bonemego does however have the advantaged of returning some key players from last year’s defensive squad, which led the MAC in total defense last season, and quarterback Cooper Rush, who set career highs with 493 yards and seven touchdown passes in the Bahamas Bowl.
Rush will face his own challenges, as his favorite target Titus Davis has graduated.
Jesse Kroll, who finished second on the team with 36 receptions for 582 yards, is expected to fill the void.
