New Mexico State is travelling to College Station this week to take on #9 Texas A&M for some Aggie on Aggie action.
These two sets of Aggies on opposite ends of the spectrum this season, as New Mexico State is 9th in the Sun Belt and A&M is 9th in the nation.

NMSU is on a two-game losing streak, including a disappointing 22-19 home loss last week against Georgia Southern.
Texas A&M suffered their first loss of the season last week at the hands on #1 Alabama.
New Mexico State Aggies
NMSU has been able to move the ball well this year, particularly through the air. They pass for 298.4 yards per game which is good for 22nd in the nation.
Unfortunately, they have been unable to convert those yards to points. They are tied for 87th in scoring offense with 25.9 points per game.

The Aggies defense, on the other hand, has been horrible. They rank 125th in scoring defense, allowing 41.6 points per game.
Unless you are in the Big 12, there is no way you can have success with a defense that bad.
Texas A&M Aggies
The other Aggies have been much better than most experts expected this year. We knew that they would be good, but not many people saw them as being 6-1 and ranked 9th at this point.
The last couple of weeks have been tough for them though. It took double overtime to beat a Tennessee team that turned the ball over seven times two weeks ago.
They played well during the first half of their next game against Alabama, but were unable to keep up with the talent of the Tide.

The success of Texas A&M this year is due to a well-balanced offense and a fierce pass-rush on defense.
They run the ball very well, averaging 251.4 rushing yards per game, 15th best in college football. Quarterback Trevor Knight is a big part of the running game and has also passed for 1,664 yards and 11 TDs.
They rank 28th in scoring offense (36.4 PPG) and 27th in scoring defense (21.1 PPG).

Free Week 9 NCAA Football Prediction
New Mexico State allowed Kentucky’s offense to put 62 on them earlier this year. If the Wildcats were able to do that, it bodes well for A&M’s chances of covering.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Texas A&M -43.5
Texas A&M will be angry and looking to prove that they are still among the best teams in the country after suffering their first loss last week. New Mexico State just has the misfortune of being the team that will suffer the brunt of that anger.
