Whenever the Midshipmen and Fighting Irish meet up, it always seems to bring out the best in both.
That should be the case once again as the undefeated Navy Midshipmen invade South Bend to take on the 4-1 Fighting Irish.

The 15th ranked Irish look to bounce back from a disappointing defeat as they nearly came all the way back to defeat Clemson on the road.
As for Navy, they come in off a route of the Air Force Academy 33-11.
Navy
The Midshipmen triple option offense has blown through their first 4 opponents. They out dueled fellow triple option team Air Force last week in a blowout fashion.
Navy’s QB Keenan Reynolds showed off his arm and legs in the win last week. Reynolds threw for 117 yards on 4 of 10 passes and threw for a touchdown. Reynolds also rushed for 183 yards on 24 carries.

The ground game also had a major contribution from RB Chris Swain as he rushed for 54 yards on 18 carries and added a pair of touchdowns.
Overall, the Midshipmen are averaging 339.8 yards on the ground.
Receiving wise, WR Craig Scott led the way, but only had 33 receiving yards to his name. That is a lot for an offense that averages only 66.3 pass yards per game.
Notre Dame
The Fighting Irish had plenty of chances down the stretch of the game to get even or take the lead against Clemson. However, two late 4th quarter turnovers really doomed the Fighting Irish in their 24-22 loss.
Aside from those turnovers, Notre Dame actually found the end zone with less than a minute to go to pull to within 2 points of Clemson. Notre Dame was stuffed on the 2 point attempt and Clemson, South Carolina went into a frenzy.

QB Deshone Kizer finished 19 of 34 for 321 yards and threw for 2 touchdowns. Kizer’s numbers are even more impressive as this was his first true road start and it was in the middle of hurricane like weather.
Kizer also added 60 rush yards on 16 attempts with a touchdown.
Notre Dame’s defense has continued to be dominant as they’re allowing only 182.4 yards through the air and 150.0 rush yards against.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Prediction
Notre Dame’s loss to Clemson stings in terms of the BCS Playoff scenario, but they still have time to make up spots. They can’t afford a loss, let alone a close win even. A win over Navy in impressive fashion is just the start they need.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Notre Dame ATS
The Midshipmen triple option style has thrown their first 4 opponents off, but Notre Dame has seen them throughout the years to know exactly how to stop it.
