Not only does this game have major implications on the American Athletic Conference, but this game has major national implications, as well.
Memphis Tigers are still undefeated and if they run the table and some things break their way, they may somehow be able to sneak into the College Football Playoff. Unlikely? Absolutely, but nevertheless, still something worth considering.

The Navy Midshipman don’t have playoff aspirations, but they can effect the College Football Playoff picture a great deal. If Navy wins out, that only bolsters Notre Dame’s resume and gives them a great shot in making the playoff – so long as they win out, of course.
Plus, Navy is right in the thick of things in terms of winning the West Division. Navy, Memphis, and the Houston Cougars are the three undefeated teams in the West division.
Navy Midshipman
The Navy Midshipman boast a superb rushing attack lead by senior quarterback Keenan Reynolds. He leads Navy with 753 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns.

Senior back Chris Swain has carried the ball 118 times for 582 yards and five touchdowns. Senior back Quentin Ezell is third on the team in carries with only 39, but he has made the most of it. Ezell has carried the ball six yards a pop and has scored five touchdowns.
Defensively, Navy has been solid. but they have never seen an offense like Memphis. It’ll be interesting to see how the Midshipmen defense holds up.
Navy has only allowed 18 points per game and are 36th in total yards in college football.
Memphis Tigers
The Memphis Tigers have one of the best offenses in college football. The Tigers are 6th in total yards, 7th in passing yards, 32nd in rushing yards, and 3rd in points scored.
The offense is led by Junior quarterback Paxton Lynch. Lynch has been very impressive this year throwing 18 touchdowns versus 1 interception, and he has completed 70% of his passes.

There are tons of weapons at his disposal which has made them an exciting and explosive offense. Memphis has a playoff offense. Their defense, however, leaves a lot to be desired.
Memphis has given up over 430 yards which is 100th in the nation, 124th in passing yards, and 64th in scoring.
Now, these are terrible numbers, however, there is a big bright side. In this particular match up, Navy doesn’t pass the ball. Memphis’ passing defense doesn’t matter and on the flip side, the Tigers defense actually ranks 22nd in rushing defense.
They haven’t seen a dynamic rushing attack that Navy possess, but nevertheless, this is stylistically a nice match up for Memphis.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Prediction
Both offenses are prolific at what they do. Navy is one of the best rushing teams in college football, while Memphis bolsters one of the best all-around offenses. It’s Navy’s job to keep the Tigers offense on the sideline. I believe they will for a time, but eventually, Memphis’ offense will be too much.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Memphis -8 ATS
Memphis is going to have to get off to a better start. They can’t afford to fall behind the Midshipmen. However, they are at home and they know the implications. I believe they will be fired up and ready from the start and will cover.
