Both teams come in off impressive Week 1 victories as the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders head to Tuscaloosa to take on the now #2 Alabama Crimson Tide.
The Blue Raiders tallied up 70 points against a weak Jackson State team.

As for Alabama, they took to the national stage and removed any doubt in the mind of the Crimson Tide fans as they pulled away from Wisconsin to grab a 35-17 win.
Even with their big win over Wisconsin, Alabama can use this game to get the younger core of their offense and defense some more experience as they get set for the grueling gauntlet of the SEC.
MTSU
The Blue Raiders, behind a freshman QB, put a hurting on Jackson State as they racked up 70 points in their impressive Week 1 performance.
Freshman QB Brent Stockstill took a lot of the snaps with the first team as he had 336 yards to himself and three touchdowns. Stockstill is expected to get a lot of the snaps here in their Week 2 contest, but Junior Austin Grammar will see some playing time as well.

WR Ed’Marques Batties impressed in his Week 1 as well with 123 yards receiving and had 2 touchdown receptions.
A majority of the touchdowns came from the ground attack as Jeremiah Bryson had 2 scores to go along with Jordan Parker and Ruben Garnett both going for 1.
Alabama
Nick Saban had quite the QB dilemma on his hands heading into the Crimson Tide’s Week 1 battle with Wisconsin.
He elected to go with Jake Coker. The QB threw for 213 yards and a touchdown while completing over 70 percent of his passes in a near flawless performance.

Alabama’s main offensive threat came from their running game. Junior RB Derrick Henry rushed for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns, including a late burst on 3rd and 25 to seal the deal in Bama’s win.
Henry finished with touchdown rushes from 37 yards and 56 yards out.
Alabama’s defense looked as good as old as well. Jonathan Allen recorded 2 sacks against one of the best offensive lines in all of football and will be the main pass rusher going forward for Saban.

Free Week 2 College Football Pick
Alabama will use this game to continue to work Coker into their scheme along with keeping their younger defense fresh.
As for Middle Tennessee, Jackson State is clearly quite the opposite of Alabama. Even after their impressive Week 1, things will be incredibly lopsided in this one.
