They have to play the games so even this one that won’t mean much in the MAC will go off on Sunday.
For the past few seasons Bowling Green has been a bully in the MAC so it is amazing to see how far they have fallen. They are completely unrecognizable really

Conversely, it is no surprise that Miami is struggling. The winner of this one likely avoids a last place finish in the MAC East and BGSU is still looking for their first win of the season.
Miami just got their last week a squeaker at home over Kent State.
Miami Redhawks
For the Redhawks all of their struggles are on offense.
They are averaging just 17ppg, a number that was edged higher last week by scoring 18 against KSU. This team is dismal rushing the ball averaging under 100 ypg and the loss of Billy Bahl at QB does not help matters.
Gus Wragland stepped in last week and his best quality is that he didn’t throw a pick.
This group truly has no margin for error. There were 10 offensive starters returning but the offense has not come together.

The defense only had six returning starters but it is by far the more impressive group.
The are in the middle of the pack in terms of points allowed and surprisingly good against the pass, though I think that is a number worth investigating further as it may be a bit deceiving.
There are not a lot of studs over there, they just seemed to have avoided those terrible game that kill your numbers in the first half of the season.
Bowling Green Falcons
Nobody was expecting a title in the first season under Mike Jinks but the Falcons have fallen very far this season. It is not all the defense but last year they gave up 28ppg and this year they are giving up more than 45.
They lost one game 77-3 (to Memphis), I didn’t even think that was possible amongst FBS teams, and that was Memphis not Alabama.
This is probably their best chance this season to get a conference victory.

The offense has been pretty bad too as James Knapke, a starter from a couple of years back has been terrible, 3 TDs and 9 picks before getting benched.
They have had no choice but to go with freshman James Morgan, who has been steady.
He is coming off his best game last week in a loss at Toledo. He threw for 335 with 5 TDs. The running game will chip in from time to time but this is mostly a throw first offense.

BGSU has not had a losing record since 2011 so it is a little weird seeing how bad they have been this season. I used to love them in underdog roles but their defense has been especially horrid so it is hard to play them with confidence.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Bowling Green -5
This has to be a spot where they say enough is enough. If Morgan can have another relatively mistake free game than they can win outright and be an ATS winner too.
They have actually covered in their last two, so you can see a little momentum building. I think they have another in them so feel free to ride the wave.
