The Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech will make the long trip to Foxborough UMass this week end to take on the Minutemen at Gillette stadium.
The season has been some what of a roller coaster ride so far for the Bulldogs, but they will be looking for their third consecutive win when they take the field this Saturday.

On the UMass side of the field, this yeah has been more of a sudden drop off than anything else.
They have now lost three games in a row by a combined by a combined 39 points.
At this point, the Minutemen will tale any kind of momentum they can find in order to turn things around for the year and a upset against the bulldogs this week would be a great place to start.
UMass Minutemen
The Minutemen have had a horrible time on defense this season and that couldn’t have been more evident then it was last week against Old Dominion. The Monarchs piled up 522 total yards in route to a 36-16 victory over UMass.
Their defensive woes might be a little easier to digest if the offense was able to put up some points of their own, but so far simply moving the ball has been difficult for UMass.

Quarterback Andrew Ford was able to put throw for 189 yards against Old Dominion, put his season tally at 849. He has thrown 10 touchdows for the season put has also been picked off 7 times in the process.
UMass has been able to gain an average of 305 total yards a game, but it has only translated to 18.3 points per contest.
The defense is allowing opposing offenses to steam roll past them to the beat of 431 yards and 29.5 points a game.
Needless to say, they didn’t have to search long to find something to work on this week in practice in order to get ready for the Bulldogs.
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
The Bulldogs were forced to fight until the finish last week against Western Kentucky, but they were able to come out on to against the Hilltoppers 55-52.
Quarterback Ryan Higgins had another amazing game last week, throwing for 454 yards and finding a receiver for a touchdown on 5 different passes.
The senior has been amazing so far this season, throwing for over 1,800 yards and 17 touchdowns while only being picked off twice. Higgins will need to have another solid performance this week against the Minutemen.

On offense, the Bulldogs have been averaging 526.7 total yards a game, with 365 of them coming through the air.
They have averaged 39.2 points per contest, but their defense has been weak on a regular basis and has allowed opposing teams to average 33.5 points a game.
The Bulldogs have been giving an average of 441.8 points each contest, with 297 of them coming from the passing game.
NCAA Football Handicapping Trends

Free Week 7 NCAA Football Prediction
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have not had an issue moving the ball this season, and there doesn’t see at this point to be much the Minutemen will be able to do to change that.
The offense has gained an average of over 500 yards per game and they are having no problem reaching over 38 points per game.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Louisiana Tech -15.5
Not only will the Minutemen defense have an extremely difficult time slowing down the Bulldogs, their offense has not been strong enough with the to play keep up.
I look for this one to over shortly following halftime, if not sooner.
The Bulldogs will have no problem covering the 15.5 points but I don’t see them getting close enough to 62 on their own for the total to go over.
