A classic Big 10 showdown takes place Saturday at high noon as the undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes invade Camp Randall to take on the Wisconsin Badgers.
Iowa has been nothing short of impressive as they’ve started the season off 4-0 and look to open
Big 10 Play with a crucial win.

As for the Badgers, they’ve rebounded nicely since their defeat to Alabama, but some will argue lack of opponents is the reasoning for that.
This will be the Badgers first true test since their loss to Bama.
Iowa
The Iowa Hawkeyes are in for a true test with their rush defense as they get set to take on the Badgers.
Currently, Iowa ranks 12th overall in rush defense with just 84 yards against per game. However, they’ve gone up against very sub par running games thus far, which some can say is the reasoning behind their 12th ranking.

Iowa has faced Iowa State (110th), Pittsburgh (73rd), and North Texas (88th). Those three teams aren’t known for their rushing attacks, but that didn’t mean they didn’t try against Iowa. The Hawkeyes will have the daunting task of taking on the a Wisconsin team that averages 188.3 yards on the ground.
In terms of offense, QB CJ Beathard is continuing to impress as he’s completed 68 percent of his passes. He has 6 touchdowns to just 1 interception on the year as well.
He’s led the Hawkeyes offense to an average of 37.8 points per game.
Wisconsin
Those 188.3 rush yards per game are going to be seriously tested in the coming games.
While the Hawkeyes are clearly no pushover when it comes to the run, Wisconsin is also battling themselves a bit here. RB Corey Clement has a sports hernia and is expected to miss at least a couple more weeks as he recovers.

That does however give freshman Taiwan Deal and junior Dare Ogunbowale both a chance to not only showcase their talents, but really give the Wisconsin backfield depth and more threats to work into packages.
Deal ran wild against Hawaii as he went for 147 yards. Overall he owns 290 yards and 4 touchdowns to Ogunbowale’s 290 yards and 3 touchdowns.
