The Cowboys will look to break their streak of alternating wins and losses to start the season with their first winning streak of the year.
The Cyclones will be looking to build off their near upset of Baylor last week and establish some respect in the Big 12.
Iowa State Cyclones
Iowa State has been sandwiched together in a way with Kansas as the bottom feeders of the Big 12.
However, Iowa State has been more respectable lately and nearly knocked off Baylor at home last week.

The Cyclones fell 45-42 but led by 14 entering the fourth quarter. Carrying the momentum of their overall performance rather than the late downfall will be the key to the result this weekend.
A close game with a much better opponent can be damaging for a hopeful challenger though as it wakes up your next opponent.
Last season, the Cyclones upset Texas 24-0 but then loss by 36 the next week to Oklahoma.

Two seasons ago, Iowa State nearly upset West Virginia but then lost by 52 the next week to TCU.
So, they likely alarmed Oklahoma State by their performance last week – particularly by scoring 42 points on a Baylor defense that was gaining steam as one of the best in the country.
Their success came by running the football – amassing 204 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns last week. Joel Lanning was then able to make manageable throws to keep the ball moving as he posted a 89 out of 100 total QBR.
The defense did give up 469 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns but held quarterback Seth Russell to just 178 yards.
The passing defense will need to perform similarly against an Oklahoma State offense that relies heavily on the passing game.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
The Cowboys delivered a dominant performance to Texas to knock them out of the rankings after falling out themselves with two losses in 3 games.
They will look for their first winning streak of the season as Baylor and Central Michigan have handed them losses in Weeks 2 and 4.
Mason Rudolph was spectacular last week against Texas throwing for 392 yards on just 19 completions with three going for touchdowns.
The running game could have decided the game though as they opened things up for Rudolph led by Justice Hill – who gained 135 yards on the ground.
They will likely use Hill to do the same again against a Cyclone defense that has struggled against the run.
If Hill is simply effective – not even dominant – on the ground, things will open up for Rudolph to work his magic.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Rudolph has thrown for 7 touchdowns and zero interceptions in Oklahoma State’s three wins while throwing for 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in their two losses.
So, they go as he does and they’ll ride his hot hand into this one in hopes of re-establishing in the Big 12 before their bye week.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Prediction
Iowa State put a huge scare into Baylor so Oklahoma State will certainly not overlook them. I think the Cowboys have too many offensive weapons to drop this one and Rudolph will build off his great performance last week.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Oklahoma State -17.0
I think Iowa State will put up a fight but won’t be able to slow down the Cowboys. 66.5 is a reasonable total for this to go over – especially with oddsmakers expecting Oklahoma State to win by 17.
BONUS Pick: Game Total Over 66.5
