After taking Ohio State to the wire last week, Indiana will have to head to Penn State where the suddenly resurging Nittany Lions may have found their form.
After struggling out of the game with a loss to Temple, Penn State has rolled off four straight wins and will play their fifth straight at home on Saturday before heading to Ohio State to take on the Buckeyes.
While Christian Hackenberg hasn’t turned into the top 5 NFL prospect type player that some experts had him pegged at to start this year, he has gotten the Penn State offense moving a little bit.

The Hoosiers will look to slow down the streaking Nittany Lions after falling just short to the top ranked Buckeyes last weekend.
Indiana
The Hoosiers rattled off four straight wins to start the year – including a three point over offensive power Western Kentucky and a non-conference win at Wake Forest. They lost at home to Ohio State last week that really showed a lot of character about the Indiana football team.

After jumping out to a 10-0 lead, the Hoosiers saw what the Buckeye offense – particularly Ezekiel Elliott – is capable of. But after falling down 34-20 with 10 minutes left in the fourth is when the Hoosiers showed their true character.
They could have rolled over and let the Buckeyes run away with it. Instead, they fought back with a quick touchdown of their own and held the Buckeyes offense in check for the rest of the quarter. They were a last second fling into the end zone away from tying the game.
The Hoosiers may have chosen to go for two though to end the game in regulation. But, either way the Hoosiers gave Ohio State everything they had.
Now, they have likely convinced themselves that they can beat almost anyone in the country. They took the number one ranked team to the wire and likely think that they could have won that game.
Thinking you can beat anyone and actually doing it is a big difference. Saturday’s test at Penn State will be a different road test than Wake Forest but still a winnable game.
It’ll be up the Indiana defense to get pressure on Hackenberg – the way most teams have.
Penn St
Penn State put a pretty pathetic performance in their opener against Temple – who has now surprised a lot of people with their unbeaten start.
The Nittany Lions have since won four straight – all at home – and will look to get things going with another Big Ten game.
While Penn State has looked better since that Temple game and the scoreboard has shown, their level of competition hasn’t been too difficult. Indiana is likely the best team they have played since Temple and Ohio State is next on their plate.
If Penn State wants to win this game and any more conference games the rest of this season, they need to figure out how to protect Hackenberg.

The offense has the weapons to be a dangerous passing attack but as long as Hackenberg is backpeddling or on his back, we will never get to see it.
This will be a true Big Ten fight as both teams know this is a winnable game for each side.
Indiana took the number one team in the country to the wire at home, now they’ll have to see what they can do in their first Big Ten road game.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Prediction
Indiana’s success on offense will depend on whether Nate Sudfeld plays on Saturday. It appears that he may be ready to go and if that is the case, the Hoosiers have to like their chances. Their defense will get pressure on Hackenberg – as everyone does – and Indiana will win this football game outright.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Indiana +6.5
Hackenberg’s draft stock is declining game after game. Is it because of the O-Line or is he not the passer we thought he was? It could be a combination of both but either way, Indiana will prevail in this one.
