The Idaho Vandals travel to Seattle after a too close for comfort win vs Montana St. The Huskies dismantled Rutgers easily.
Idaho needed solid stops by the defense to ensure victory vs Montana St 20-17. Washington had no trouble defeating Rutgers 48-13.
Idaho Vandals
Idaho’s offense jumped out early to score 17 points in the first. But they only mustered a field goal in the second quarter and stalled the entire second half going scoreless. If the offense doesn’t stay consistent the game will get ugly early.

Idaho’s passing game was flat out terrible last week as starting QB Matt Linehan was only 8-22 for 128 yards. If they have any shot of pulling the upset he needs to much more accurate and avoid forcing the ball to his receivers.
The shining spot on offense was Aaron Duckworth, who ran the ball 14 times for 108 yards and 2 scores. He will be facing a Huskies D that a had pretty good game slowing down the Rutgers running game.

The Vandals defense did well against the Montana St passing game, but the running defense led something to be desired.
Another poor effort by the defensive front seven and it will be a long day for them.
Washington Huskies
The Washington offense was consistent throughout the game, scoring multiple times in each of the first 3 quarters. Chris Peterson’s squad called off the dogs in the 4th quarter.
Jake Browning had a very good game finishing with 3 TD’s, 1 intercept and 287 yards through the air. I look for him to continue his strong start to the season with another 3 TD performance.
The Huskies running game will need to have a much better performance this week as they didn’t have a runner go over 60 yards last week. They cannot afford to become a one dimensional offense if they are going to compete in a loaded Pac-12.

The Washington defense had 3 sacks and did not give up a passing touchdown to Rutgers. This trend should continue this week as I believe the Vandals will not get a score through the air.
The run defense did a great job stopping Rutgers ground attack as they did not allow a runner to gain more than 70 yards on the ground.

Free Week 2 NCAA Football Prediction
Idaho doesn’t have a chance against this top 10 program. Expect Washington to dominate all afternoon and easily cover the point spread.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Washington -37 & the under.
Myles Gaskin will go over 100 yards for the Huskies, but it will be the Jake Browning show as Washington’s passing offense continues its strong start to the season.
