There were very few who had any faith whatsoever in the Eastern Michigan Eagles before the start of the season, including fans and critics alike.
They come into this weekend with an impressive 4-2 record and will be looking to upset the Ohio Bobcats at Peden Stadium in Athens.

The Ohio Bobcats will come into the game with the same record and be looking for their 4th consecutive win at home this week.
They have won their previous three games by a total of 32 points and may need a little more from their offense in order to get things done against the Eagles on Saturday.
Ohio Bobcats
With a record of 4-2, the Ohio Bobcats are currently tied for first place in the MAC East division. In their last game against the Bowling Green Falcons, Ohio was able to stay strong and hang on for the 30-24 win.
The Bobcats were able to generate 17 points off of four turnovers from the Falcons and Quarterback Greg Windham was good for a both a touchdown pass and taking one in to the endzone on the ground himself.
He finished the game with 190 passing yards while completing 20-27 attempts.

This Saturday will be the 31st meeting between Eastern Michigan and Ohio and the Bobcats currently lead the series 18-11-1. The last time the two teams met up was during the 2013 season, and the Bobcats cruised to an easy 56-14 victory.
The Ohio defense will need to come up a little better performance than they have been providing if they want to continue to stay at the top of their division.
They have been giving up an average of 355 yards and 26.2 points a game this year, while scoring an average of 32.3 points of their own and raking up an average of 425.8 yards a contest, 258 of which have been coming through the air.
Eastern Michigan Eagles
After starting conference play with a win against the Bowling Green Falcons, the Eagles feel short last week against the Toledo Rockets 35-20.
Eastern Michigan was able to make it as close as a one score game with just under nine minutes left in the game, but the Rockets answered with a 14-play, 83 yard scoring drive of their own to put the game out of reach.
Quarterback Brogan Roback finished the game with 225 yards and a touchdown while completing 20 of 38 passing attempts.

The Eagles had three different receivers who were able to make at least four catches on the day, but Eastern Michigan was unable to receive any help on the ground with only 62 yards rushing.
It’s is still unclear if starting quarterback Todd Porter will be able to return to the lineup this week after suffering from a shoulder injury.
The running game for the Eagles has also been pretty badly mangled this season, leaving freshman Brock Turner and sophomore Ian Erickson to carry the load.
They will need to put us a little more productive numbers this week between the two of them if Eastern Michigan wants to pull off the upset against the Bobcats.
NCAA Football Handicapping Trends
- The Bobcats are 4-1 against the spread in their previous 5 games against conference opponents.
- Ohio is 5-2 in their last 7 games at home when playing a team with a winning record.
- The under is 4-1 in the last 5 conference games for the Bobcats.
Free Week 7 NCAA Football Prediction
This game should close up to the start of the 4th quarter and then I look for the Bobcats to start pulling away, but I think the game will be closer then the final score shows.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Ohio -8.5
The Ohio Bobcats have been hard to beat at home and I don’t think that is going to be any different this week. They haven’t had much of a problem putting points on the board.
I look at the Bobcats to cover the 8.5 points in a game that will stay under 58.
