The AAC takes the stage Friday as the East Carolina Pirates head to Connecticut to take on the Huskies.
Uconn comes in with just a 1-3 record in conference play and looks to avenge their 37-13 loss to Cincinnati last Saturday.

East Carolina fell to 4-4 and 2-2 in conference play after they blew a 14-10 lead against undefeated Temple last week.
East Carolina
The Pirates had their chance to upset the Temple Owls at home last week and really make a statement in the AAC, but a lack of offensive production in the 2nd half led to the downfall of the Pirates.
ECU led 14-10 at half and held that lead throughout the 3rd quarter. However, a pair of Temple 4th quarter touchdowns put an end to any upset talks. With just the 14 points scored, the Pirates streak of 30 points in 4 straight games was snapped.

QB Blake Kemp continued his season of letting the ball fly as he attempted 48 passes last week and completed 31 of those. Kemp finished with 272 yards in the game, but couldn’t come up with any clutch plays late in the 4th quarter after Temple took the lead.
Kemp can expect another day of letting the ball fly through the air as East Carolina attempted 64 passes in last years 31-21 win over Uconn.
ECU needs just 2 wins to become bowl eligible for the 8th time in 9 years.
Connecticut
Uconn ranks 116th in the nation in total offense with 342.1 yards per game. The Huskies offensive woes have led to them averaging just 19 points per game.
QB Bryant Shirreffs is expected to get the starting nod here on Friday.

Shirreffs took a beating against Cincinnati last week and was eventually replaced by Tim Boyle. With the extra rest, Shirreffs should be ready and at 100% come Friday night.
He’ll look to bounce back from his worst performance of the season as he finished with just 87 yards of passing on 12 of 27. He ran the ball 17 times for 90 yards, which also led to his beating as he continued to get drilled as he stepped out of the pocket.
Like their record of 3-5, the Huskies are 3-5 ATS on the season.

Free Week 9 NCAA Football Prediction
Uconn’s offensive troubles are just too much to overcome. After struggling last week, ECU’s pass game will look for a response game here.

The Pirates take plenty of deep chances as they connect on a regular basis and pass that 40 point plateau en route to a big win.
