Big 12 action takes the stage Thursday night as the #2 team in the country heads to Manhattan as the Baylor Bears and Kansas State Wildcats square off.
Baylor moved to 7-0 on the season after taking it to Iowa State in hurricane like weather on Saturday.

Kansas State continues to battle for bowl eligibility as they come in losers of 4 in a row after they were dropped by Texas on their bye week.
Kick off is set for 7:30 Thursday night.
Baylor
It’s not quite normal to see the #2 team in the nation, who sits at 7-0, sitting outside the comfort zone like the Baylor Bears currently find themselves.
Baylor rocked another opponent, this time Iowa State, but the win came at a serious price. QB Seth Russell, who was making a strong case for a Heisman Trophy possibility, broke a bone in his neck and was announced out for the remainder of the season.
Prior to his injury on Saturday, Russell had thrown for a pair of touchdowns, which marked numbers 28 and 29 on the season.

Now, QB Jarrett Stidham will make his first start as he takes over the play calling for Baylor.
With a freshman making his first start, a lot of the pressure will fall on Shock Linwood and Corey Coleman. RB Shock Linwood has 974 yards on the ground to go along with 9 touchdowns on the season. Coleman on the other hand was making history with Russell throwing to him.
Now, he’ll try to keep up the same dominating ways with Stidham that saw him catch 18 touchdown passes from Russell.
Kansas State
The Wildcats started the season 3-0 and it looked like they were going to compete with the best in the Big 12.
However, that hasn’t been the case for them as they dropped their 4th in a row prior to their bye week after falling to Texas 23-9. The loss pushed them to 3-4 on the season and they remain winless in the Big 12.

Now, the focus seriously shifts to getting 3 more wins and becoming a bowl eligible team. They already faced the #3 TCU Horned Frogs, who have very similar styled offense to Baylor’s, and gave them all they could handle in Kansas State.
The Wildcats will rely heavily on RB Charles Jones who has led their offense for a majority of the season. Jones has 298 yards on the season with 3 touchdowns. The RB has averaged 5.1 yards per carry on the season.
While Kansas State’s defense has allowed just 28.9 points per game, they continue to struggle in conference play. The Wildcats have allowed 47.1 points per game against Big 12 opponents.

Free Week 10 NCAA Football Prediction
Baylor is going to clearly struggle without Seth Russell calling the shots. However, they have enough talent in Linwood and Coleman to still be a dominant force offensively. Expect Linwood to get a majority of the workload early. How the Wildcats defense can respond is the game changer here. If they let Linwood get into a groove early, it’ll be a long night for Kansas State.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Baylor ATS
The Bears offense still proves to be as dominant without Russell as they roll over Kansas State on Thursday night.
