This important SEC matchup could pay serious dividends for each team’s postseason expectations. With their win over Alabama and one of their two losses coming out of conference, the Rebels are very well in the mix to win the SEC West.

Having already matched their SEC win total from last season, Arkansas has a chance to build up their resume for a better bowl game. The Razorbacks went 6-6 last season – 2-6 in SEC games – and picked up a win in their bowl game against Texas to go over .500.
A win this week for the Razorbacks would be huge in improving last season’s mark as LSU, Mississippi State, and Missouri still await them.
Arkansas
Coming off a thrilling quadruple overtime win over Auburn, the Razorbacks will need to keep it rolling offensively as Ole Miss’s once formidable defense appears to have returned to form after being shredded by Memphis.
The Razorbacks are coming off a win over Tennessee-Martin before this final stretch of four SEC games – split between home and on the road.
These two road games will be difficult, but the Razorbacks have proven they can play well on the road.

Arkansas has played just two true road games and covered the spread in both of them – winning at Tennessee and losing 27-14 at Alabama as 16 point underdogs.
Keep an eye on the Razorback defense who has been struggling lately – giving up 519 yards last week to UT-Martin.
Quarterback Brandon Allen and running back Alex Collins impose plenty of fear on opposing defenses. Last year, Collins ran for 79 yards and a touchdown against the Rebels. They’ll need that and more plus Allen to play the way he has thus far. Last year, Allen threw for just 87 yards and a touchdown on 5 for 10 passing.
The Razorback defense forced six turnovers last year against Ole Miss on their way to a 30-0 victory in late November. Arkansas knows it will be different this year but if they can force Chad Kelly into turning the ball over – something he has been prone to do lately – they could find themselves on the winning end of this one again.
Ole Miss
With the Rebels facing their 10th game in 10 weeks, they would love to pick up another win before the bye.
A win would keep them right in the mix for the SEC West Title and even further a spot in the SEC Championship.
The Rebels certainly remember last season when Arkansas put a beatdown on them in late November – knocking them off their top 10 ranking.
Last season’s loss was due in a large part to their inability to protect the football. They turned it over six times and failed to put a single point on the board.

If Kelly throws it around like he has been lately, the Rebels could find themselves in another difficult spot. With the return of left tackle Laremy Tunsil and defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche, the Rebels are finally putting their best lineup on the field.
This game against Arkansas is less of a test of their overall talent and more about how they are handling this stretch of 10 straight weeks with a game.
Kelly and the Rebels should be aware of what this Arkansas team is capable of – playing close in all of their losses.
If the Rebels don’t protect the football, they’ll spend their bye week thinking about what this season could have been as a loss to Arkansas will put them in a tough spot in the loaded SEC West.

The Rebels need this one to keep themselves alive before they head into their much needed bye week. They also remember the beatdown Arkansas put on them last year so they won’t take this one lightly.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Ole Miss -10.5
Kelly will protect the football and the Rebel defense will stifle Collins and the Razorback rushing attack.
