Two teams looking to rebound from a loss in Week 1 meet here in Week 2 as Winnipeg and Calgary get set for battle.
Winnipeg fell to Montreal while the Stampeders had their own problems with the Lions.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers entered this season with a lot of pressure on them.
After a disappointing 2015 season that saw them finish 5-13, the Blue Bombers did themselves no favor in Week 1.
Winnipeg buried themselves into a 12-0 hole after a scoreless first half and then found themselves in a 19-3 hole that was just too big to get out of.
QB Drew Willy finished with 25/34 for 303 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Willy found his rhythm early on, but the Blue Bombers continued to fail when getting into Montreal territory as they couldn’t capitalize.
Andrew Harris had a solid debut rushing for 80 yards while adding 40 yards receiving.
Harris was excited to start the season at home as he was dealt in a blockbuster deal from the BC Lions this past offseason to join Winnipeg. Harris, a Winnipeg native, will be a giant spark for this offense going forward.
David Dickenson’s debut with the Stampeders didn’t go according to plan in Week 1.
The Stampeders offense stalled all night long as they fell to the BC Lions 20-18 in a low scoring affair. They racked up just 283 yards while turning the ball over once.
However, despite their Week 1 loss, there is a lot of optimism surrounding this team. The Stampeders as they hold two of the top QBs in the league.
It was Bo Levi Mitchell who got the nod in Week 1 as he finished 16 of 27 for just 233 yards to go along with a touchdown.
The lack of a true threat receiver was noticeably seen in Week 1.
Calgary had no receiver come close to the 100 yard mark. This will be a giant key going forward and here in this one against Winnipeg. Finding an explosive option to make a big play and break a couple tackles is something this team needs.

Free Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. Calgary Stampeders CFL Prediction:
Both teams looked very sluggish offensively in Week 1.
These two teams lack the explosiveness and ability to make a big play to change the game.
4* Free CFL Betting Pick: Under
This has the feeling of a very slow paced game that sees both teams really work their way down the field. With that, expect a lot of clock movement and small yardage plays.
