WHERE EACH TEAM STANDS HEADING INTO WEEK 13
And then there was 1! Only one undefeated team remains in the NFL – the Carolina Panthers stand alone in the Standings and therefore have to be top dogs in the Rankings as well. The Thanksgiving games this week were somewhat disappointing but certainly weren’t a sign of things to come – the rest of the slate was riddled with stellar games that shaped this week’s Rankings. Week 12 resulted in the biggest shake-up in the Power Rankings so far this year.

So where does your favorite team sit heading into Week 13?
Let’s take a look.
1. Carolina Panthers
(11-0) Last Week – 2
It Was a pretty easy choice this week – the only undefeated team in the league gets the nod as the #1 team in the Rankings. They absolutely dominated play on Thanksgiving – the offense did as much as the defense for perhaps the most balanced team in the game right now. The Panthers aren’t only winning right now – they are blowing other teams out of the water.

Gotta love Cam Newton and the boys!
2. New England Patriots
(10-1) Last Week – 1
The Pats lost their first game of the season on Sunday night – Rob Gronkowski was the latest star to go down with injury. Despite being the most banged up club in the game, New England has still proven to be uber-competitive. I don’t know how long the Pats can absorb all of the injuries but for now they still look like the best team in the AFC – a couple of calls from the ref makes Sunday’s result a whole lot different!
3. Denver Broncos
(9-2) Last Week – 6
The Broncos may have something to say about that! Denver knocked off the Patriots Sunday night behind Brock Osweiler who may have earned the starting gig for the rest of the year. CJ Anderson who finally woke up as well Sunday and was a true difference maker. Denver looks dangerous again thanks to their unheralded backup QB!
4. Cincinnati Bengals
(9-2) Last Week 5
The Bengals destroyed a pretty good Rams team on Sunday 31-7 to snap a two game losing streak. AJ Green was the focal point of the offense again finally, the defense was strong and Andy Dalton was able to avoid that game-changing mistake. As long as Cincinnati doesn’t have a prime-time game they should challenge for a first round bye in the playoffs.

5. Arizona Cardinals
(9-2) Last Week – 3
The Cardinals drop in the Rankings because of an unflattering effort in a close win over the 49ers – a game that they were outgained, outplayed and were lucky to win. If not for a ton of penalties on San Francisco the outcome may have been a lot different! Blaine Gabbert lit this team up – scary for all you Cardinals fans.
6. Minnesota Vikings
(8-3) Last Week – 8
The Vikings sit on top the NFC North standings again thanks to a win on Sunday on the road in Atlanta. If they keep ridding MVP candidate Adrian Peterson, the Vikes may just hold onto that spot. AP has averaged 113 yards per game the last seven and the Vikes have won six of those games. A good test comes this week when Minnesota welcomes the Seattle Seahawks.
7. Green Bay Packers
(7-4) Last Week – 4
Dominated the Vikings two weeks ago and inexplicably lost to the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving – not sure what to make of this team! They have now lost four of their last five games. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been great and the O-line has been awful! One good sign is that Eddie Lacy has rushed for over 100 yards in two straight games – but that’s where the good news stops!
8. Seattle Seahawks
(6-5) Last Week – 10
The Seahawks are another tough team to figure out. That said they have won games in a host of different ways – in a shootout like they did Sunday at home against Pittsburgh and in defensive battles as well. The Seahawks have yet to put in a complete team effort this year but they are getting closer and despite the loss of Jimmy Graham this team CAN score some points. The defense has been disappointing – my guess is they turn it around before the playoffs start.
9. Kansas City Chiefs
(6-5) Last Week – 13
The Chiefs have now won five straight games and look dangerous in the AFC. The running game – no matter who handles the rock continues to be solid and Alex Smith has found another gear thanks to Jeremy Maclin. On the backs of a strong defense and an emerging offense, the Chiefs jump into the top 10.
10. Indianapolis Colts
(6-5) Last Week – 12
The Colts have now won four games with Matt Hasselbeck under center – strange! This team will be better when Andrew Luck comes back healthy – I THINK! Beating the steadily improving Buccaneers Sunday was impressive – the way Hasselbeck got all of his weapons involved was too!
11. Pittsburgh Steelers
(6-5) Last Week – 7
The Steelers lost on the road in Seattle on Sunday but they looked pretty good in racking up nearly 550 yards of offense. If it’s not Antonio Brown doing damage its Martavis Bryant. When both of those guys are shut down look out for Marcus Wheaton who went off for 201 yards receiving Sunday.

Pittsburgh’s offense will take them a long way – let’s hope the defense can hold its end of the bargain!
12. New York Jets
(6-5) Last Week – 14
The Jets looked good in Week 12 – Brandon Marshall woke up and caught nine passes for 131 yards and 2 TD’s while Chris Ivory has his best game in some time against Miami. The Jets got back to their identity – running the ball and taking shots downfield with Marshall. If New York can stick to that formula, they should make a run at a playoff spot in the AFC.
13. Washington Redskins (5-6) Last Week – 16
14. New York Giants (5-6) Last Week – 11
15. Chicago Bears (5-6) Last Week – 15
16. Houston Texans (6-5) Last Week – 17
17. Buffalo Bills (5-6) Last Week – 9
18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6) Last Week – 18
19. Oakland Raiders (5-6) Last Week – 23
20. Detroit Lions (4-7) Last Week – 26
21. Atlanta Falcons (6-5) Last Week – 19
22. New Orleans Saints (4-7) Last Week – 20
23. San Diego Chargers (3-8) Last Week – 30
24. Philadelphia Eagles (4-7) Last Week – 22
25. Miami Dolphins (4-7) Last Week – 25
26. St. Louis Rams (4-7) Last Week – 24
27. Dallas Cowboys (3-8) Last Week – 21
28. Tennessee Titans (2-9) Last Week – 28
29. Baltimore Ravens (3-7) Last Week – 29
30. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7) Last Week – 27
31. San Francisco 49ers (3-8) Last Week – 31
32. Cleveland Browns (2-8) Last Week – 32
