Joba Chamberlain was outstanding in his last start but he is still trying to earn a start in the postseason.He goes tonight in the the Yankees' regular-season home finale when New York looks for an eighth straight win and a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals.Chamberlain (9-6, 4.72 ERA) had been 0-4 with an 8.42 ERA in eight starts before earning a 9-5 victory over Boston on Friday. He retired the first 11 batters and gave up three runs over six innings.Chamberlain made his first career start against Kansas City on June 8, 2008. The Royals have dropped six of seven overall and 25 of 29 in the Bronx. Robinson Tejeda (4-2, 3.41) will make his sixth start of the year for Kansas City after going 3-1 with a 2.36 ERA in his first five as his three-start winning streak ended Friday against Minnesota as he allowed six runs over 4 1/3 innings in a 9-4 loss. Tajada is 0-3 with a 10.38 ERA in three career starts against the Yankees from 2006-07. Both of these pitchers have giving up an average of 8 runs against their opponents today. That trend will continue.
