Managed to recoup some of the NFL losses from Sunday with a nice hit on the Vikings Monday night for $400. Also throw in the winner on the Red Sox in closing out the Angels, and that made for a decent day.
NFL finishes the week going 3-5-1 -$690 with the two top plays going 1-0-1. Top play in Week 5 was $700 on Denver -3 which pushed, and $600 on the Arizona Cardinals which came through easily as they handed the Bills their first loss. Rest of the slate was disappointing with losses on the Eagles, Jaguars, Ravens, Niners, and the Chiefs. Winners for the week were Cardinals, Vikings, and Colts.
Win by the Titans keeps them as one of only 2 undefeated teams in the NFL at 5-0, Giants are 4-0, as the rally late to win at Baltimore. The Giants are coming off the biggest beatdown of the season in the NFL, 44-6 drubbing of the highly disappointing Seahawks. Buffalo took first loss of the season in road game against offensively potent Cardinals team. Denver gets home win against the Bucs to remain solidly in first place after Chargers surprise loss to Dolphins in AFC West.
In the NFC, Philly opened up with 14-0 at home against the Skins only to find themselves down 6 late in the 4th when they were unable to punch it in down close....Skins win 23-17 to stay in tie with the Cowboys for first.....Cowboys sure looked sluggish in 2nd half on defense as they managed to hold off winless Bengals 31-22 at home. Panthers move into solo 1st plce in the South after getting their largest margin of victory in franchise history in 34-0 rout of the Chiefs......a game in which they held Chiefs to 127 total yards....ouch. Cardinals soar to 1st place after a convincing win over previously undefeated Bills.
Look back later in the week for analysis of upcoming games.....
Managed to go a perfect 4-0 in the opening round of MLB in choosing the winners of the series, including a sweet +190 hit on the Dodgers. Overall, MLB selections for the playoffs stand at 8-4 +4.67. For the next few days I am offering the rest of the MLB playoff selections for only $29.....that's everything through the last game of the WS. Right now I have selections ready on both League Championship series and for Game 1 of the NLCS. I will include this week's football plays in on the deal as a sampler....
On Thursday, a big game takes place in the ACC as Clemson travels to play Wake Forest. Clemson is now on life support after blowing conference game against a Maryland team that has lost to the likes of Virginia and Middle Tenn State, another loss in this one will be the end of any hopes this season.
Wake Forest cant be puffing out their chests either in this game as they were scolded by Navy in a home loss recently and that loss took them down nothch.
Looks to me that Wake Forest is the more disciplined and focused squad of the two, and the Navy loss will help them later on as Clemson failed to take anything away from the beating from Alabama earlier in the season.
Also look at this being the first road game for Clemson and things start leaning more towards the Deacons.....loss to Navy in last game helps keep the number down. Wake has had 10 full days to prepare for this one and they get the job done at home.
Wake Forest -2.5
BEST OF LUCK to everyone with their action this week
