I think that a lot of players get the mentality that they just want to play and get out there no matter what. They don't realize that by doing that they are putting their team at jeopardy, and only creating a bigger injury in the future!

I guess he needs to visit this forum and get his advice then. I can understand the desire to get back out there but ultimately he could end up extending his injury indefinitely if he does that. Listen to the couch coaches and sit it out!
Given that fact, and yes you are right, you would think that they would be a little more careful with their money. Invest, save-never knowing whether you will have that income next week. Yet we don't see that at all.

I can see your points but at heart he's still a player. I can see the slim potential that he'll come back out of retirement for the fun of it-enough do, no matter how much money they have in the bank.
