I think that yes, they might be trying too hard, but at the same time, they are competing. Competition gets physical sometimes, and I have no problem with watching them duke it out.

Did you all not watch the championship with the Celtics? Kobe didn't play like an MVP at all! Is he really a team player as where MJ was? Come on now!

This is a topic brought up from time to time usually by the younger crowd that weren't really around in the Jordan era.

Now, don't get me wrong, Kobe's great, but MJ was the greatest ever in what he accomplished in professional sports, let alone basketball. There is just an aurora about him that Kobe would never be able to create. Jordan didn't have the most dominant center ever to help him win championships. He had Scottie Pippen, whom is not the impact player that Shaq was.

Perhaps people like myself and older folks are in denile, but I bet if you ask experts on this they'd have the same view as the people that believe there will never be another MJ.

I've been a long time MMA fan and I have to admit I do like Kimbo. Many hardcore fans hate him and are jealous of how he entered the sport into big money so quickly, but the man is tough.

I think he got exposed in his fight against Thompson that he'd probably get submitted fairly easily if he was fighting a submission artist, but he doesn't necessarily have to take those kinds of fights.

For everyone that saw his Youtube fight against the MMA cop where he lost it's no suprise that he has very bad stamina. He only lost the fight to the cop due to it because he was kicking the guys butt. He will definately need to focus on his endurance more because he needs to be able to fight more than a couple minutes before looking completely exhausted.

Can't wait for the next bout.

Ouch. That's quite a blow for the American team... He did have a point though. When going to compete in the olympics, you've got to be in your best shape, and not your worst. Hopefully he can heal up quick and compete next time.
