Jeff Francoeur returned to the Braves lineup with a bash, going 3-for-4 with a homer and driving in four runs, as Atlanta continued to batter the Mets, this time posting an 11-4 victory at Turner Field.
Chipper Jones smashed his 398th career homer, but left the game with a bruised right shin after being hit by a pitch in the seventh inning. Brian McCann had three hits, two RBI and scored three times for the Braves, winners of four in a row and owners of a 19-5 home record. Mark Teixeira went 3-for-5 with three RBI and scored twice, part of Atlanta's 14-hit attack.
