Brandon Webb got his major league leading ninth win and the
Arizona Diamondbacks pounded out 13 hits in completing a three- game sweep of the
Colorado Rockies, 8-5 at Chase Field.
Webb (9-0) tossed 7 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk. He struck out eight and retired 15 of the first 16 batters for Arizona, which has won three straight after getting swept in a three-game set at Chicago.
Webb's current nine-decision win streak tied him with Curt Schilling for the longest in club history and is the best start to a season in franchise history.
