Berkman named NL Player of the Week

Houston Astros first baseman Lance Berkman was selected as the National League Player of the Week for the period ending May 11.

Berkman, who won the award for the fourth time in his career and the second time in the last three weeks, led the big leagues with a .682 batting average, 15 hits, 10 runs scored, a 1.136 slugging percentage and a .741 on-base percentage.
