Webb, the NL's Cy Young Award winner in 2006, won for the sixth time in six starts on Sunday in San Diego, as he held the Padres to an unearned run and five hits over six innings to improve to 6-0, while lowering his earned run average to a sparkling 1.98.
With a win today, Webb will match Randy Johnson's 2000 franchise record for most consecutive victories to start a season.
