Default Brewers' Gallardo sidelined with torn ACL
The Milwaukee Brewers placed pitcher Yovani Gallardo on the 15-day disabled list on Friday with a torn ACL in his right knee. The injury occurred when Gallardo twisted his knee while colliding with the Cubs' Reed Johnson on a bunt play in the fifth inning of Thursday night's 4-3 win in Chicago. Gallardo remained down for several minutes in pain but stayed in the game to pitch the sixth. Surgery, which would likely end Gallardo's season,
