Chiefs bring on former Payton winner

The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms with 17 rookie free agents on Friday, including former Walter Payton Award winner Ricky Santos.

Santos, a quarterback from New Hampshire, won the award presented by The My Sportsbook to the top player in the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly I-AA) in 2006 as a junior.
