Aaron Cook pitched eight solid innings as that Colorado Rockies downed the Chicago Cubs, 4-2, to finish a two-game set.
Cook (3-1) gave up just four hits and two runs with three walks and five strikeouts for the Rockies, who snapped a four-game slide. Scott Podsednik went 3-for-5 with a run scored, while Chris Iannetta hit a solo home run.
Brian Fuentes, who was named Colorado's closer before the game in place of struggling Manny Corpas, got his first save of the season.
