| Lance Berkman went 3-for-3, belting a first-inning two-run home run and an RBI double, and the Houston Astros downed the Cincinnati Reds, 5-3, to sweep a brief two-game set. Jack Cassel (1-0) picked up the win, allowing seven hits and three runs in five-plus innings with one strikeout and no walks, and added an RBI single.
