The online baseball betting community saw the White Sox looking to rebound behind their staff ace after losing the opener to the Yankees on Tuesday night, but it didn’t go as planned. Javier Vazquez wasn’t sharp at all, while Mike Mussina put forth his best start of the year to allow the Yanks to take game 2 by a 6-4 final count. The Yankees outslugged the Palehose 12-6 with four of those hits coming from C Jorge Posada who doubled three times in the game for the first time in his career. Mussina scattered four hits and allowed two earned runs, while walking one and striking out three in the 101-pitch performance. The win pushed his record to 2-3 on the year, and lowered his ERA to 4.94. Vazquez struggles against his former mates continued as he exited after 5 1/3 innings, allowing six runs on 10 hits while walking three and striking out three. The loss dropped him to 3-2 on the year and his ERA rose to 4.40.
