The Florida Marlins placed pitcher Lee Gardner on the 15-day disabled list on Friday with an inflamed elbow. The righty is 0-0 with a 10.80 earned-run average in seven games this season. To take Gardner's place on the roster, Florida selected pitcher Doug Waechter from Triple-A Albuquerque.
