Angels star right fielder Vladimir Guerrero was out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Kansas City due to a bruised right index finger. Guerrero suffered the injury while swinging at a pitch in the seventh inning Wednesday during a 3-2 loss to the Royals. He is day-to-day. In a 4-for-20 skid last five games, Guerrero is hitting .277 with two homers and 12 RBI this season. He's 10 hits away from 2,000 and 33 homers shy of 400.
