| Matt Holliday crushed a two-run homer in the eighth inning to lift Colorado to a 2-1 win over Atlanta in the first of four games at Coors Field. Matt Herges (1-0) and Manny Corpas pitched scoreless eighth and ninth innings, respectively to close out Aaron Cook's strong start. Cook allowed just one run on two hits in seven innings, while striking out one and walking one. Troy Tulowitzki doubled for Colorado, which ended a five-game losing streak.
