Jeter leaves game with quad strain

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter left Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays after the second inning with a strained left quad. Jeter beat out a close play at first base to reach on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the first inning, then scored on Bobby Abreu's two-run homer.
