Hernandez to step in as Mariners resume set with Orioles

Erik Bedard's return to Baltimore will have to wait, as the left-hander is battling inflammation in his left hip and will miss his scheduled start on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners. The team doesn't believe it is a serious condition, and are confident that he can start on Tuesday in Tampa. Seattle acquired Bedard from the Orioles this offseason in a much-ballyhooed move.
