San Antonio, TX (My Sportsbook) - Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 28 points, as Memphis moved to the national title game with a 78-63 victory over UCLA at the Alamodome.
The Tigers (38-1), making just their third appearance in the Final Four, received 25 points from freshman guard Derrick Rose and will get another chance for their first NCAA Tournament championship when they play either Kansas or North Carolina, on Monday night.
Memphis' defense did head coach John Calipari proud, as the Tigers slowed down 6-foot-10 freshman sensation center Kevin Love and limited the Bruins to 37.5 percent shooting, moving on to their second championship game appearance in school history. The only other time Memphis made it to the final was in 1973, an 87-66 loss to UCLA.
Antonio Anderson had 12 points for the Tigers. Despite being held without a point, Joey Dorsey had 15 rebounds for Memphis.
"I'm coaching a dream team," Calipari said. "They get along. They respect coaching. They take on their roles and do it."
