Default Yankees' Pettitte activated from DL
The New York Yankees activated pitcher Andy Pettitte from the 15-day disabled list, allowing the left-hander to start Saturday's afternoon game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Lower back spasms forced the veteran pitcher to open the season on the disabled list. To make room for Pettitte, the club optioned pitcher Jonathan Albaladejo to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre of the International League.
