Brian Bannister threw seven strong innings and Billy Butler drove in a pair of runs, leading the Kansas City Royals to a 4-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Mark Grudzielanek scored twice and Joey Gathright added a pair of hits with a run scored for the Royals, who pulled out a 5-4 win in 11 innings on Monday in the season-opener and are two games above .500 for the first time since opening the 2004 campaign with a 4-2 mark.
